Amanda Stoker has been appointed as the new child safety and domestic violence minister in Queensland, replacing Amanda Camm. Camm stepped down from the frontbench because of safety reasons. Stoker, a right-wing backbencher, was swearing in amid news about a aggressive performance measure for the new minister. The appointment comes as Queensland confronts challenges in dealing with child safety and domestic violence issues.
