The BC NDP leader is defending his use of the childcare program. Critics claim that his family earns too much for the subsidy. The leader explains that his wife stayed time off without pay for cancer treatment. This allowed them to qualify for the financial assistance. He asserts his family returned the funds to the system. The goal was to support other families. While visiting an area in North Delta, he vowed to build a new urgent care centre. He also wants a new BC shipyard. He compared his plans to the Conservative candidate who wants tax cuts.
