Satellite data shows that Earth's inner radiation belt was penetrated. The Arase satellite found electrons speeding up inside the Van Allen belt, which contradicts earlier ideas about the belt's protection. This might influence space weather and satellite operations. The data indicates that killer electrons can surpass a barrier believed to be impenetrable, so scientists need to revise their models and secure satellites better.
