US President Donald Trump has called on Ukraine to choose new leadership, saying Volodymyr Zelenskyy should negotiate a deal with Russia to bring the conflict to a close.
Trump also blamed Zelenskyy for rising diesel prices in the United States, warning Kyiv to cease hitting Russian oil refineries he says are set to provide American fuel.
The remarks came on 10 October 2026, the same day Britain's Prime Minister conducted a separate call with Zelenskyy, according to the UK government.
